  • Under the general supervision of the Public Affairs Officer and direct supervision of the American Center (AC) Director, incumbent will manage and develop the Mission Vietnam Website and social media pages

  1. GUARD FORCE SUPERVIOR – TRAINEE LEVEL

Job Descriptions

  • Incumbent of this position will be under the oversight of the RSO
  • He/she will manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Embassy’s security guard force
  • The incumbent will be responsible for protecting the lives of USG personnel and USG property by ensuring all posts are manned trained and alert guards
  • He/she will recommend policies, draft guard order, develop and execute training programs, conduct and draft site security plans for special events, assist RSO in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with senior local law enforcement officials relative to the physical protection of USG facilities, residences and events
  • The incumbent will maintain accurate and timely administrative records to ensure the appropriate expenditure of scarce resources
  • He/she will ensure that internal controls are in place and monitors them to deter and detect inappropriate use of resources
  • The incumbent will be on call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week as the primary link between the Local Guard Force, the RSO and local law enforcement during emergencies

Job Requirements

Job Descriptions

Incumbent of this position will support the Political Section and the Office of Weapon’s Removal and Abatement, Bureau of Political Military Affairs (PM/WRA) engagement on unexploded ordnance (UXO) cooperation with Vietnamese national and provincial authorities, international NGOs, international donors, and other relevant stakeholders by providing local language, technical, analytical, and administrative support.
