Job Description:

ABB Vietnam currently has an opportunity for an Accountant who would be responsible for Accounts Payable (AP) tasks as a committed team member to meet the needs of ABB’s core business partners and to contribute to ABB’s vision of a world-class Accounts Payable department for the Accounting Centre. Joining our team in Hanoi office and reporting to Account Payables supervisor, your key areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

• Support Account Payables supervisor in general management tasks;
• Perform necessary activities within the Accounts Payable department to ensure accurate and timely booking by making payment to vendors in time;
• Ensure all invoices recorded into system are qualified with tax authority/ company requirements;
• Perform analysis of specific Accounts Payable accounts on a regular basis and take appropriate action when necessary;
• Cooperate with AP team in India in daily work;
• Comply with and support to achieve Internal Control over Financial Reporting compliance in Accounts Payable for applicable templates;
• Work within the internal control environment for the Accounts Payable department;
• Apply ABB Group Accounting standards, compliance to ABB’s Accounting and Reporting Guidelines, and local GAAP and compliance with ABB Group Charter;
• Actively seek opportunities to improve processes;
• High responsibility at work;
• Deliver commitments and high-quality services to all applicable stakeholders in line with agreed service levels to ensure satisfaction;
• Support other departments so that the business can run smoothly;
• Ensure all activities comply with work standards and quality system; ABB A&RG as well as local regulations;
• Support and participate in safety, compliance, business ethics, Group Charter, communications and other related activities.

Requirements:

• A university degree with minimum 3 to 4 years’ preferred experience in account payable/ account receivable;
• Strong accounting and basic system knowledge;
• Good English communication;
• Numeric, details focus and analytical skills.
